A Wild Last Boss - Thoughts on the Series up to Ep. 7

A Wild Last Boss - Thoughts on the Series up to Ep. 7

I began watching this when it began airing this season and while I did find it interesting, it quickly lost a bit of the mystery behind it. This post will contain spoilers that will cover the entire Season 1 (Including unaired episodes as of the writing of this) so read with caution. This post was made after Ep. 7 had aired.

Around EP.3 I decided to pick the Light Novel up and as I got to the same point as the anime had adapted to, it dawned on me that the anime had done quite a better job of hiding the mystery of what was going on in the world that our poor Main Character got isekaed to. It's quite a bit disappointing because the whole story is pretty obvious where it is heading, and as I continued reading it just became more and more obvious. As this week's episode aired and I finished vol 3 of the light novel it pretty much all but confirmed my thoughts (although I guess I COULD still be wrong)

And what is that?

Dina, Lufus' poor 'Aide', is actually the goddess Alovenus and she is using Lufus to further the end of the world for her own fun. They already revealed that Dina is actually working for the Demon Lord as Venus...and our author has already shown that none of the characters in the story are very good at code names (none of them. At all) along with Dina being able to use magic that only the goddess had access to in the games lore. She also confirmed she was a 'Test Player' but Virgo's mom (Parthenos? Maybe? There are a LOT of characters in this story and we're not even that many volumes into it) also warned Lufus the goddess can astral project to the mortal realm...And Dina can change her appearance and pop up anywhere around the world at will. Ill be very surprised if she isnt Alovenus at this point.

The story isn't the worst thing, but I do feel like the anime is better than the Light Novel is.

I will be making one more post about the anime once it has finished airing, along with my thoughts on the anime itself!
